| Le Villard is an exceptional site dominating the Lot valley. The church, ramparts, fortified gate and houses, all perfectly restored by the département and the village of Chanac, are in the same style as the episcopal fortress from the middle ages. Outside the village, the medieval domain set up by enthusiasts is a perfect reconstitution of life in the middle ages. The farm animals, vegetable and ornamental gardens, inn, weaving and manuscript illumination workshops give a fascinating insight into this harsh lifestyle which we sometimes yearn for.
