Apcher is a medieval site with the ruins of a castle and keep, and the castle chapel from the village of Prunière. Its remarkable 12th century church belonging to the abbey of La Chaise-Dieu is also worth a visit.
It has a superb belfry wall with three apertures. One of the oldest in France, it was built in the Saint Onge style.
