With over 300 km of marked trails and hundreds of kilometres of itineraries across the peaks of the Mont Lozère, the woody Margeride, the open spaces of the Aubrac and the sunny beech stands of the Aigoual, the Lozère is an incomparable recreational area in a protected countryside.
The unspoilt expanses of the Lozère will appeal to skiers who prefer resorts with a human dimension, particularly if they stay in one of the friendly mountain hostels.
